Обзор Runtu 2.0 (Ubuntu 7.10)
Runtu это не полноценный дистрибутив Linux, это локализованная версия Ubuntu. От тойже группы разработчиков выходит и Ru Kubuntu и Ru Xubuntu.
Что такое Runtu и какие прелести в виде программ вас там ждут можно прочитать на официальном сайте Runtu.org (в обсуждениях много относится к старой версии, в новой множество пожеланий учли, например я пишу из Opera)
Конечно Runtu это очень даже user-friendly сборка, но я все-таки планирую написать иструкцию по установке (судя по запросам поисковиков люди ищут эту информацию)
Сейчас же я хочу просто выразить свои впечатления об этом дистрибутиве.
Я давно присматривался к тому чтобы использовать Lunix OS, выбор почемуто падал на Slakware два раза, и один раз Ubuntu (которая совершенно не смогла установиться на мой ноут).
Слака - всё хорошо, но небыло поддержки блютуз, а компилить ядро с поддержкой блютуза - неотростил еще експириенс, возможно даже не отростил его даже для того что установить bluez. В любом случае - после двух установок Slakware Linux я не испытал никаких особо положительных чувств - работает не намного быстрее Win, приложения Win неидут, сменные устройства надо монтировать, флешки надо монтировать и т.д. - то что не каждому под силу.
Другое дело Runtu! все жесткие диски в любой файловой системе - автоматически монтируются. Bluetooth устройства также, немного пришлость потанцевать с бубном вокруг подключения сотового, но об этом я писал уже в блоге, я написал программу которая все делает автоматически с любым телефоном.
Если вы не нашли в системе программу которая вам нужна - запустите Synaptic, этот волшебный менеджер пакетов скорее всего найдет то что вам нужно на диске с дистрибутивом Runtu. Что особенно выгодно отличает Linux системы от Win, это то что программы занимают гораздо меньше места на винчестере. Подскажу что в синаптике можно искать программы не только по названию, но и по описанию, правда как правило тут уже нужно знать английский… Даже я в своей программе не использовал ни одного русского слова.
Конечно не так уж просто будет в одночасье переехать на Linux после Win, особенно если вам жизненно необходимы программы - у которых нет аналогов на Linux, тут во всю силу себя проявляют программы с альтернативной реализацией WinAPI, например Wine (включен в дистр). Но я надеюсь что постепенно вы сможете либо найти аналог, либо запустить под Wine.
На этом пока что всё. Могу с уверенностью сказать, что если вы ищете дистрибутив на который без проблем можно перейти после Win, то Runtu это то что вы искали, а философия Ubuntu будет еще долгое время помогать быть абсолютно бесплатным этому дистрибутиву. А на многочисленные поделки вроде Linux XP даже не смотрите)
